Balboa Island Engagement // Aileen + Sean

Apparently, the theme of the week is engagements. Hey, I'm cool with that. I LOVE shooting engagement sessions. It gives both my clients and myself a chance to get to know each other better. Plus, it helps them get comfortable with me sticking a big piece of metal in their face. Then when their wedding day comes around, we are already like, totally BFF's...or they hate me. Okay not really. I've had way too much caffeine today. Aileen and Sean are a blast to be around. We ran around Balboa Island in search of pretty light, then hit the beach for a little sunset action. They are getting married this August, and although I'm not their wedding photographer (boo), Aileen, who was the amazing coordinator at Ashley and Tony's wedding, wanted me to do their engagement photos. It's always wonderful working with fellow wedding industry gurus, but I feel especially honored when they ask me to photograph them. It must mean I'm doing SOMETHING right? ;)
