Autumn, Megen & Josh | Irvine Family Portraits

One of the many perks of being a photographer is getting to give the gift of beautiful photographs to people for them to cherish for the rest of their lives. I think it's safe to say that since my mom gets a fresh set of photos of my siblings every year, she is a bit spoiled in this area. ;) This shoot was a HUGE eye-opener for me.  As I culled through the images on my computer, I caught myself laughing and crying all at the same time. I just cannot believe how fast my siblings have grown over the years.  I remember back when Autumn (the oldest) was just a baby, running around in her diaper with the tiniest baby voice calling me "sissy." Now she's fourteen. FOURTEEN. She's wearing makeup, dying her hair, borrowing my clothes, and texting boys. My little angel is turning into a woman. In just a few years I'll be taking her SENIOR PORTRAITS. It seriously blows me away.

The same goes for Megen and Josh. Watching them grow and mature a little each day is definitely bittersweet.  But they are all such amazing kids. Amazing kids who will grow up to be even more amazing adults. And every time I snap their photo, it's like I'm taking tiny records of their lives. What an incredible gift.

Autumn, you are growing up to be such a beautiful young woman. But I still don't get the pink hair. ;)

Megen, aka Meggie-Moo, you have the purest heart. Don't ever let anyone take that from you.

Love those freckles. :)

Joshie, well, one day you won't let us call you that. So I'm going to use it every day until then.

Such innocence. If only you knew what was really happening behind the scenes... ;)

Ahhh sisterly love. It looks so much more endearing on film. This is absolutely my favorite photo of the day btw.

undefinedAutumn, Megen, and Joshie, my life would be incomplete and boring without you.
